The countdown to the SA20 season has well and truly begun as we gear up for the fourth edition of the tournament set to get underway on 26 December 2025, with our campaign beginning on the road against MI Cape Town.
The opening fixture will commence at 5:30 PM SAST and promises to be an exciting challenge against familiar opposition. We will then return home for our first match at Kingsmead just two days later, on 28 December, facing MI Cape Town once again in a highly anticipated encounter.

Regarding the format of SA20 2026, the six participating teams will play 10 matches each in the league stage, with the top four sides advancing to the Playoffs. Thereafter, the first and second-placed teams will fight for a direct qualification for the Final in Qualifier 1, the third and fourth-placed teams will feature in the Eliminator.
Following Qualifier 2, where the loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of Eliminator will square off, the SA20 Final will take place on January 25, 2026, in Cape Town.
Meanwhile, Captain Aiden Markram will lead the Durbs, who enjoyed a productive campaign last year, amassing 340 runs in 13 matches at an average of 37.77. He enters the new season brimming with confidence, ready to guide the group with intent.
Preparations are already in full swing, with players steadily arriving at the pre-season camp. The atmosphere within the squad has been positive and focused, as the coaching staff and players work diligently to fine-tune skills, build combinations and ensure everyone is primed for the demands of the competition.
The energy around the dressing room reflects the belief within this new-look team, which is eager to make a strong statement in SA20 2026. With a refreshed squad & renewed ambition, Durban’s Super Giants are all set to take the season by storm as we aim to secure our first SA20 trophy.
