Durban’s Super Giants are gearing up for our seventh fixture of SA20 Season 4 against Sunrisers Eastern Cape on January 9, with the contest set to begin at 5:30 PM SAST at our home ground, Kingsmead Stadium, Durban.

With the league phase entering a crucial stretch, the clash promises intensity, intent and a charged atmosphere under lights.

Our previous outing against the Pretoria Capitals ended in a narrow 15-run defeat, but there were encouraging signs to take forward. Sunil Narine showcased his class with a spell of 0/22 from four overs, applying the brakes at a critical juncture, while Jos Buttler was in imperious touch with the bat, crafting a sublime unbeaten 97 off 52 balls.

As a unit, we take the learnings from that contest and move ahead with belief. Needless to say, the group remains focused on building momentum. We enter this game with our heads held high, drawing confidence from the positives. The desire to respond strongly is palpable within the camp, and the players are eager to convert promise into performance.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Eastern Cape arrive in good form, making this an ideal opportunity for us to test ourselves against quality opposition and raise our level. Playing at Kingsmead adds another layer of motivation, as we look to channel the energy of our home crowd and turn it into an advantage.

As we chase our first home win of the season, we urge our fans to come out in full voice, paint Kingsmead blue, and push the team every step of the way.
