We will be playing our first home game of the season, facing MI Cape Town, on December 28 at 3:30 PM SAST at the Kingsmead Stadium in Durban.

Momentum is already on our side. On Boxing Day, the Super Giants made a massive statement, edging MICT in a high-scoring thriller at the Newlands.

Devon Conway, with 64 off 33 balls, stood at the heart of an emphatic batting performance which saw DSG score 232/5. Five other batters also notched 20+ scores at high strike rates, setting the tone for our batting template for the remainder of the season.

While Kane Williamson and Conway made an explosive start with a 96-run opening stand, Aiden Markram and Evan Jones set up a massive finish.

Backing them up with equal impact was Eathan Bosch, whose death overs brilliance sealed the contest for us at Newlands. The right-arm pacer bowled a spell of 4/46 to hamstring Cape Town’s run chase, despite Ryan Rickelton’s bashing century, sealing a 15-run victory to kickstart our campaign in style.

Meanwhile, we boast a commanding 5-1 head-to-head record against MI Cape Town, a statistic that gives us an edge. We know how to win this battle. We have done it before, and we aim to do it again.

Having already opened the season with a win, the Super Giants are hungry for more. This first home game is more than just another fixture. It’s a statement of intent. The goal is clear - go back-to-back, defend our fortress, and continue the winning momentum.

Kingsmead, get ready. The Super Giants are coming in hot - aggressive, fearless, and driven to dominate.
