With a star-studded line-up featuring the likes of Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, Jos Buttler, Gerald Coetzee and Noor Ahmad, the Durban’s Super Giants (DSG) are leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of SA20 glory.

But beyond the global icons and household names, it’s the uncapped local talents who might just hold the key to their campaign in Season 4.

After an exciting auction earlier in October, DSG’s management bolstered their roster with a handful of promising domestic players who are eager to prove themselves on one of the biggest stages in franchise cricket.

These players will not only complement the experience within the squad but also inject fresh energy and hunger to the Kingsmead setup.

Led by two-time SA20 champion Aiden Markram, the Super Giants’ blend of international stardom and untapped South African potential promises fireworks. Here’s a closer look at the uncapped names ready to make their mark.

Eathan Bosch:

Making his debut season for the Super Giants, the young right-arm pacer Eathan Bosch brings pace, bounce, and aggression to the attack.

Having already picked up 27 wickets in 30 games with an economy of 8.18, Bosch has shown glimpses of his ability to trouble top batters.

Expect him to thrive under the Kingsmead lights as he looks to make a name for himself this season.

David Bedingham:

A composed and technically solid batter, David Bedingham joins DSG as a key middle-order option.

With 241 runs in 13 SA20 matches at a strike rate of 119.9, he has the temperament to steady innings and the skill to accelerate when needed.

Still waiting for his first big knock in the league, Bedingham will be keen to stamp his authority this season.

Evan Jones:

A dynamic all-rounder, Evan Jones adds valuable depth to both the batting and bowling departments.

Known for his ability to play quick cameos and pick up wickets at crucial moments, Jones has taken 19 wickets in 19 SA20 outings. His versatility could be a game-changer for DSG.

Marques Ackerman:

At 29, Marques Ackerman is one of the more experienced uncapped names in the setup. With 129 runs in 10 matches at a healthy strike rate of 120.56, the southpaw batter has already shown flashes of brilliance.

A clean striker with an eye for timing, Ackerman could play a pivotal role in strengthening the middle order.

As Durban’s Super Giants prepare for their biggest SA20 campaign yet, these uncapped players stand ready to turn promise into performance — and perhaps, help bring the long-awaited trophy home to Kingsmead.
