Mission accomplished! Durban's Super Giants (DSG) have recorded their first SA20 win. They will head back to Kingsmead with a win against MI Cape Town by five wickets. Diving deep into the season, DSG will lock horns with Paarl Royals (PR) on Sunday at home. Both sides enter the contest with wins in their previous game.

Quinton de Kock's Super Giants overpowered Cape Town at Newlands on Friday. All-round prodigy Kyle Mayers stepped up to the occasion and delivered a match-winning performance. The Super Giants middle order struggled in the season opener but stood strong with crucial cameos against Cape Town.

Paarl Royals, on the other hand, bounced back in the game against Joburg Super Kings (JSK) after an upset in their SA20 opener. The David Miller-led side bundled out JSK for a mere 81 in 17.2 overs and chased down the paltry score in 10.3 overs.

DSG's bowling attack lethal enough to contain PR batters?

The Super Giants almost found their core bowling combinations in the last game against Cape Town. After bowling first, DSG capitalized on the Newlands surface pretty well.

Only two pacers, Reece Topley and Hardus Viljoen conceded runs at an economy of over nine. They scalped two wickets each, denting the opposition's batting lineup just in time. Spinners Keshav Maharaj and Prenelan Subrayen have bowled 15 overs collectively in two innings, conceding only 105 runs, and have accounted for five crucial wickets.

Watching how they restrict PR batters in the upcoming contest will be fascinating. Paarl Royals' batting lineup comprises the likes of Jason Roy, Jos Buttler, Dane Vilas, Eoin Morgan, and skipper David Miller. This will be an absolute challenge for the DSG bowling unit.

De Kock leads the batting department yet again

The Super Giants have arguably the most formidable top order in the tournament. Their opening duo of Kyle Mayers and Quinton de Kock has fired on all cylinders, accumulating big runs inside the powerplay. Both left-handers have scored 162 runs, striking over 145 so far. Trusted hands Heinrich Klaasen, Jason Holder, Wiaan Mulder, and Keemo Paul have been among the runs in the ongoing season.

DSG are going to play their first afternoon game of the season. The Durban-based side will be desperate to grab a win against Paarl.
