The Durban’s Super Giants are excited to announce their preliminary squad for the second season of the SA20 league scheduled for January 2024. Led by Durban local Keshav Maharaj, DSG will be looking to better their performance from last season with the help of a revamped squad.
Joining a strong batting line-up including the likes of Quinton de Kock and Heinrich Klaasen will be Sri Lanka’s big-hitting Bhanuka Rajapaksa. The pace bowling department has been bolstered with the return of speedsters Kyle Abbott and Dilshan Madhushanka in addition to the acquisition of the wily Naveen ul Haq. Completing the roster is all-rounder JJ Smuts who was traded in from the inaugural champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
With a well-balanced line-up, DSG will be looking at smart buys in the upcoming auction as we look to build a squad that will challenge for the trophy in the years to come.
